Civilisation, Backwaters, Beaches and Heritage
Kerala is a land of wonders! Not just the cultural diversity, but the topographic versatility will never be overlooked. Through this 5-day / 4-night package, we are offering you a journey through the rich geographical heritage of Kerala. You can experience a dramatic shift in the landscape where it rises and falls within a short duration. While Kochi rests almost at a sea level (Approximately 0 to 20 m above sea level), as you ascend to Munnar, the elevation takes a great leap (1500 to 2695 m above sea level). From Munnar to Thekkady(900 to 1200 m above sea level), there is a gentle descent in altitude. And in your journey to Alappuzha( Sea level: approximately 0 to 3 meters), you experience a dramatic shift from highland forest to wide, flat backwaters. The Kuttanad region in Alappuzha is the lowest altitude point in India, with its land lying below the sea level. The land here is at an average of 2.2 meters below sea level. So, on this 4-day trip, you will experience a dramatic shift in altitude and temperature.
